Our "Easy-Set" Mole Eliminator traps are available for
purchase and personal use.
Perfect for the "Do It Yourselfer!"
When setting a trap make sure you set in an active tunnel. If you have
several tunnels and you’re not sure which is active, go ahead and pick
one and set your trap(s). Then flatten all the tunnels that you
find. An active tunnel will usually be reopened within three days. Very
active tunnels could be reopened in a matter of hours. If your trap
happens to be in the wrong one simply move it. Occasionally you may
have to play musical tunnels if the mole likes to move around. The dirt
that the mole pushes to the surface to make mounds is off limits for
trapping. The only thing you’ll catch if you try to trap at a mound is
dirt. Mounds can make your lawn look worse than any surface tunneling,
but they shouldn’t. As soon as you notice a mound take your hands and
scatter this dirt around your lawn just as if you were sowing grass
seed. Get all the loose dirt removed from your grass and you’ll never
know that a mound was ever there and you won’t end up with a dead spot(s)
in your lawn. Whatever you do don’t just run over it with your lawn
mower. If you do, all you’ve done is create a speed bump for the next
time you’re mowing.
